Our primary offerings are digital online courses, delivered through our website. The following terms apply to digital products such as course enrollments:
- Access and License
When you purchase a course, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and view the course content via your account for your personal educational use, including all future updates to that course. Courses are taken through our platform (integrated with Shopify and our course app) and are not downloadable to your local device. You may access the course as many times as you like (for as long as we make it available on our platform), but you cannot share your access with others. Account sharing or publishing course content elsewhere is a breach of these terms. - Ordering and Payment
To buy a course, add it to your cart and check out through our Shopify-based system. You may must create an account during purchase (to access the course through your 'Account', and to track your course progress). Course prices are displayed in your local currency where available (e.g. AUD, EUR, USD) and include GST for Australian customers. All payments are processed through Shopify’s secure checkout and may be made using major credit cards, debit cards, Apple Pay, or other supported methods. Prices are subject to change at any time prior to purchase. Once your payment is confirmed, the price paid is final and will not be adjusted retroactively. - Course Delivery
Once your payment is confirmed, your course is made immediately available in your Account Dashboard. You may begin any time by logging in with your email and password. If you cannot see the course, please contact us for assistance.
- EU/UK Digital Content Rights
If you are a consumer in the European Union or United Kingdom, you usually have a 14‑day right of withdrawal (cooling‑off period) under EU Directive 2011/83/EU (as amended) and the UK’s Consumer Rights Act 2015. This allows you to cancel a digital purchase within 14 days of placing the order. However, if you explicitly consent to immediate access and acknowledge that you will lose your right to withdraw, you may waive this right. That means once the course is made available for instant access and you have agreed, you cannot cancel. - 7-Day Satisfaction Guarantee (Refunds for Courses)
We want you to be satisfied with our courses. For digital courses, we offer a 7-day satisfaction period. If you find that a course you purchased isn’t what you expected, you may request a refund within 7 days of purchase, provided you have completed less than 20% of the course content. To request a refund, email us at learn@thefutureschoolof.com within seven days, include your order details and reason for dissatisfaction. If approved, we will deactivate your access and process your refund to the original payment method. Please allow a reasonable time for the refund to appear on your statement. (Note: We reserve the right to decline refund requests that do not meet these criteria or appear to abuse the policy. This guarantee is to ensure customer satisfaction, and does not limit any rights you may have under law.)
Subscription Plans
If in the future we offer courses or content on a subscription basis (for example, a monthly membership to all content or recurring lessons), additional terms will apply (see “Subscriptions” below). Currently, courses are sold individually (one-time purchase) unless otherwise stated. - Access and License
-
We may also offer branded physical merchandise (such as T‑shirts, hoodies, jackets, hats, pens, journals, or other items) for sale on our site. The following terms apply to physical products:
- Product Information: Merchandise may be offered as in-stock items or occasionally on a pre-order or made-to-order basis (which will be indicated in the product description). We strive to display accurate images and descriptions. However, minor variations in color or design may occur in actual products. All prices are listed in AUD and include GST for Australian customers. Prices do not include shipping (see below). We reserve the right to adjust prices before you place an order.
- Ordering and Payment: You can purchase merchandise through the same online checkout process. You may combine digital and physical products in one order. Payment methods are the same (credit/debit cards and other methods supported by our checkout). Full payment is required at checkout; we do not offer cash on delivery. If an item is out of stock or unavailable after purchase, we will contact you to offer a refund or alternative solution.
- Shipping and Delivery: We currently ship merchandise worldwide, from Australia. Our orders are shipped via Australia Post. Flat shipping rates are applied at checkout: for orders shipping within Australia, a flat rate of AU $25 (express post) is charged. For international shipping, you can choose Standard (AU $40) or Express (AU $60) shipping. We will pack and dispatch your order within a reasonable time (typically 2-5 business days for in-stock items). You will receive a notification with a tracking number once your order is shipped. Risk of loss passes to you once we hand the package over to the postal carrier. Please ensure the shipping address you provide is correct and secure. We are not responsible for packages lost or delayed due to incorrect addresses or issues on the carrier’s end (though we will help liaise with the carrier to resolve issues).
- International Orders: For international deliveries outside Australia, you are responsible for any import duties, taxes, or customs fees that your country may impose. We have no control over these charges and we do not collect them at checkout. Check with your local customs office for potential fees before ordering. Also, note that international delivery times can vary widely (standard shipping may take up to 5 days to 2 weeks depending on destination). We reserve the right to decline or cancel orders to certain countries if shipping or legal restrictions apply; if we do so, we will refund you.
- Returns and Exchanges (Physical Goods): We want you to be happy with your merchandise. If you need a different size or there’s an issue with your product, we have the following policy:
> Exchanges: We will exchange full-priced merchandise for a different size or item (one-time exchange) under these conditions: (1) The goods must be in resalable condition – unworn, unwashed, unaltered, with all original tags and packaging intact. (2) You must contact us within 5 days of receiving your order to request an exchange. (3) You need to provide your original order number or invoice as proof of purchase. (4) Exchanges are subject to product availability. (5) You are responsible for all shipping costs for sending the item back to us and for us sending the replacement to you. We recommend using a trackable shipping service for returns, as we can’t be responsible for items lost in transit back to us.
> Refunds: We will provide a refund on physical goods only if: (1) The product is faulty or not of acceptable quality (not due to misuse by you), or (2) the item you received is not the item you ordered (e.g. wrong product or size was sent). In such cases, please notify us within 7 days of receiving your order. We may request photos or further information to verify the issue. The item must be returned to us in unused condition with all original packaging if reasonably possible. If a return is approved, we will refund the purchase price of the item back to your original payment method. Original shipping charges are non-refundable. - Return Shipping Costs: If the return is due to a confirmed fault or our mistake (wrong item sent, product defect), we will cover the reasonable return shipping cost or provide a return shipping label. For all other cases (such as exchanges or if you return an item that isn’t faulty), the customer is responsible for paying shipping costs to return the item. We highly recommend using a tracked shipping service, as you are responsible for the product until we receive it.
- How to Initiate a Return/Exchange: To start a return or exchange, email us at learn@thefutureschoolof.com with your order number and details of your request (what item you want to exchange or an explanation of the fault). Do this within the timeframes mentioned above (5 days for exchanges, 7 days for refund issues). We will reply with confirmation and instructions, including a return address. Please do not send back items without contacting us first, as we need to authorize and track returns. Once we receive your returned item and verify it meets the conditions, we will process the exchange or refund. Refunds can take 5-10 business days to appear in your account depending on your bank.
- Limitation on Returns: Aside from the policies above, we do not offer returns or refunds for “change of mind” on physical goods. Please choose carefully. This does not affect your rights under consumer law (see below).
- Consumer Law Note: Our goods and services come with consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law. For example, you are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage, and to have the goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure is not a major failure. Nothing in these terms limits those rights. In the event of any issue, we will always abide by the minimum standards of applicable consumer protection laws.

Some courses and community features may allow you to upload, submit, or share content. This may include commercial work, project work, written responses, images, feedback, or testimonials (“User Content”). You retain all intellectual property rights in your User Content. We do not claim ownership of your original creative work.
- License to Use Your Content
By submitting User Content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free, and revocable license to use, display, and share your content only for the purposes of operating the course platform, facilitating course interactions, or improving the learning experience.

• Share your work externally to spotlight your project
This license does not permit us to sell, commercialize, or create derivative works based on your User Content without further written agreement. If you delete your content or account, we will no longer use your content publicly unless you’ve already consented to that use. - Your Responsibility
You are responsible for the content you post. Please don’t share anything you don’t have rights to, and avoid anything unlawful, offensive, or infringing. We reserve the right to review, remove, or moderate submissions that violate our standards. - No Compensation
Submitting feedback, ideas, or improvements (for example, suggestions for course features) is voluntary and does not entitle you to compensation, even if we use your input. - Community Guidelines
We are committed to maintaining a safe and respectful learning space. When using any interactive features, you agree to engage constructively and courteously with others. Abuse, harassment, or spam will not be tolerated. Separate guidelines may be introduced for specific community features as they launch.

Use at Your Own Risk
Our website, courses, and related services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. While we strive to deliver a high-quality experience, we can’t guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free performance, or flawless compatibility across all devices. Periodic downtime or technical issues may occur, particularly given our reliance on third-party providers. By using the platform, you accept that occasional friction is part of the experience. No Promised Outcomes
We offer educational content designed to build creative and strategic capabilities, but we don’t guarantee results. Course outcomes vary based on your personal effort, background, and how you apply what you learn. We can’t promise you a job, a client, or creative mastery. Any testimonials or student stories are shared to illustrate potential—not to imply certainty. Not Professional Advice
Unless clearly stated, our content is not intended as professional advice (e.g. legal, financial, health, or career-specific). It’s educational. You should apply your own judgment and, where appropriate, consult a qualified professional. We are not responsible for decisions made or actions taken based on course content.Third-Party Platforms
We use third-party tools and services (such as Shopify for payments or Vimeo for streaming). While we select providers carefully, we don’t control their systems. This means we’re not responsible for any outages, data loss, policy changes, or service interruptions on their end. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.Consumer Guarantees (Australia and Beyond)
Under the Australian Consumer Law, our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded. For example, if a course is not delivered with acceptable care and skill or fails to match its description, you may be entitled to a remedy. Where allowed by law, our liability is limited (at our option) to resupplying the service or reimbursing the cost of doing so. Other jurisdictions may offer similar consumer rights, which we aim to respect in full.Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, The Future School of (The White Directory Pty Ltd) and its directors, employees, and affiliates are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses. This includes (but isn’t limited to) loss of income, time, data, or business opportunity. If we are found liable for any issue arising from a paid service, our total liability is capped at the amount you paid for that specific service. If the issue relates to free content, any liability will be limited to a reasonable amount, as defined by law.Jurisdictional Limits
Some jurisdictions prohibit exclusions or limitations of liability in certain scenarios (for example, personal injury, gross negligence, or consumer contracts). (b) your misuse of our website or services (including negligence or misconduct);
(c) any content you submit, or actions you take, that infringe or violate someone else’s rights. We reserve the right—at our own cost—to take over the exclusive defense of any matter subject to indemnification. -
These terms, and any separate agreement under which we provide services, are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia—excluding its conflict of law principles.
If you're a consumer outside Australia, nothing in these terms limits or excludes any mandatory rights or remedies available to you under the laws of your country of residence. In some cases, you may also have the right to bring claims in your local courts or through your national consumer protection bodies.
By using our services, you agree to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales for resolving any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the platform. "Non-exclusive jurisdiction" means that while we agree those courts may hear the matter, this does not prevent you from bringing a claim in another competent jurisdiction where permitted by applicable law (for example, under EU consumer protection rules).
If any part of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that part will be limited or removed as needed, and the rest will continue to apply in full force.
-
We may update these terms from time to time. If the changes are material—meaning they affect your rights or obligations—we’ll notify you by posting the updated terms with a new “Last Updated” date, and, where appropriate, by emailing registered users.
Minor updates (such as clarifications or typo fixes that don’t impact your rights) may not trigger a direct notice. It’s your responsibility to review this page periodically.
By continuing to use the site or services after any update, you agree to the revised terms. If you disagree with any change, you should stop using the platform and cancel any applicable accounts or subscriptions.
-
