Alex Dobé is an Ivorian-French photographer based in Paris, specialising in street style, backstage and runway photography across the international fashion week circuit. Entirely self-taught, he began photographing in 2012 after discovering photography through Tumblr, and has since become a familiar presence at shows in Paris, Milan, Tokyo and New York, shooting for major maisons and independent labels alike. His clients include Saint Laurent, Schiaparelli, Valentino, Fendi, Chanel, Chloé, Dries Van Noten, Adidas, Ganni and Rabanne, and his backstage and runway imagery has become widely recognised for its immediacy, warmth and documentary energy. In 2023 he released FRAGMENTS, a personal photography book. Dobé is known equally for his fashion-week photography and for a broader body of travel and portrait work exploring his heritage and identity.
